Japanese billionaire offers cash and breaks record of retweets on Twitter

Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is already a relatively well-known name in the world - he will be the space tourist for the orbit of the Moon aboard a SpaceX rocket. He is now back on the Web as he becomes the owner of Twitter's most retweeted post, stealing Carter Wilkerson's post.

Maezawa's post was made on Saturday (5) and had a very clear message: it offers 100 million yen to 100 people - in all, that gives about $ 34,000 per person. The only criteria to participate were to follow Maezawa's profile and retweet the message that, since 11:35 a.m., accumulates more than 5.5 million retweets.
As a result, there are almost 2 million more retweets compared to Wilkerson's April 6, 2017 post when he asked for help getting free chicken nuggets for a year. The idea was to get 18 million shares, but its appeal mobilized "only" 3.59 million people.

The proposal of Yusaku Maezawa is valid until today (7) and it does not specify any geographical limit or even if the only valid time to define the period of participation is the one of Tokyo, then, it is possible to try luck. The billionaire said he will contact DM via the winners.

For those who do not know the figure, Maezawa is one of the 15 richest people in Japan. He is a musician, art collector and has succeeded with a successful virtual clothing store and other fashion products, as well as owning the ZOZO brand .
